A Touch of Grace

Little Light Music
While She's Gone

For Nancy McCreary, whose love brightens my life and warms my heart.
Passing Sun, where are you going?
Take a message far across the sea;
Be there for me.
Shine upon my love,
Be our shared embrace
While she's gone.
Tell her I've been thinking 'bout her
Sharing evening walks and thoughts from our day
Drifting away.
Soft and warm, her touch so tender,
Hearing birds intone
Their lullaby song,
She in my arms.
In her eyes live distant memories,
Once forgotten, once thought ending,
From her gentle kiss awakens
Something that was lost
And that was found
And now lives on within my dreams.
Gazing Moon, whom are you seeking?
Cast your eyes upon my lover tonight,
Bathe her with light.
Remind her I've been thinking 'bout her,
Seeing in the stars her radiant beams
Shining for me.
With her touch of grace, she fashions
Quiet moments love has captured,
Filling me with life and passion:
Something that was lost
And that was found
And now lives on within my dreams.
Guide her on her life adventure,
Whisper in her heart,
Help her fly on wings of light,
Be our shared embrace
While apart.
Guiding Sun, your distant memories,
Radiant Moon, your hope thought ending,
In my lover's kiss awakens
Something that was lost
And that was found
And now lives on within me -
Captured in the light,
I feel it lifting up my heart
And fill my dreams.
Sun and Moon, where are you going?
Take a message far across the sea;
Be there for me:
"In this room, the candles burning
Are the only lights
The sunset will need,
You here with me."
