Growing up in the 1960s, I listened to the popular groups of the day - Elvis, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones. While I liked songs with a good beat, I was also captivated by certain "social consciousness" songs - for example, Barry McGuire's rendition of "Eve of Destruction," Bob Dylan's "Blowing in the Wind," and the Beatles' "Nowhere Man." In addition, I loved melodic love (and lost-love) songs such as Bob Lind's "Elusive Butterfly" and Peter & Gordon's "I Go to Pieces." I see these multiple interests reflected in my music from the time I started writing songs in the mid-1970s. It has been an interesting musical journey, having periods of creativity, periods of drought, periods where life has pulled me away from music and periods when life has drawn me into music. Like with any journey, I occasionally look back just to see how far I have come.

Trained in piano and voice, I have been involved in music virtually all of my life. I love the music of Peter Mayer and Josh Groban, and I still have a soft spot in my heart for John Denver and Peter, Paul and Mary. In addition, I adore Irish music. Most recently, I have fallen in love with Rich's music and am excited about being part of "A Touch of Grace" -- my first foray into live performance of original folk/pop music. Time to open some new doors!
